Do you have a great idea? Our Neighbourhood Grants turn local ideas into tangible actions. The Community Social Work (CSW) program offers grants of up to $1,000 to residents in the eligible neighbourhoods listed below. Grants are awarded to resident-led projects that increase Social Inclusion, Economic Participation, Anti-Racism, or Foster Truth and Reconciliation in neighbourhoods.
A Neighbourhood Granting Committee has been established for Southwood and we can now review grant applications. Please download the application form below.

Southwood resident and Artist, Sherry Cousins, will guide us in an afternoon of watercolour painting in the Southwood Community Garden on Saturday July 13th 2-4pm. As a way to encourage Southwood residents to try new activities, learn skills, meet neighbours, and explore our community garden, this event is funded by a Neighbourhood grant. Supplies and refreshments will be provided free of charge. All ages and art abilities welcome.
Sunday August 11th from 2-4pm in the greenspace along the Anderson sound barrier, near 432 Sabrina Rd SW. We will be decorating pots to plant flowers in and gift to our friends and neighbours. Join us in spreading the joy and power of gifting flowers. Come dressed as a Fairy, the best outfit will win a prize. Supplies, snacks and refreshments provided free of cost.
